Fundraising and Grants

Gumdale has been the recipient of a number of important grants in recent years. The funding awarded is as follows:

2015-2016 - The Gambling Community Benefit Fund awarded a large grant to the club so that we could build a large and accessible storage shed for our riding equipment including showjumps and dressage arenas. This shed is centrally located near arenas and has convenient drive through vehicle access to assist with setup and storage of equipment

2015 - The Department of National Parks, Sport and Recreation has granted the club funding through their Get Going Clubs initiative so that we could purchase a variety of portable cross country jumps. This allows us to train riders over a better variety of fences and will enable us to hold a greater range of competitions at the grounds.

2014- The Department of National Parks, Sport and Recreation has granted the club funding through their Get Going initiative so that we can purchase three professional portable dressage arenas. The aim of this initiative is to increase Queenslanders participation in sport and recreation activities. These arenas are attractive, safe and easy to set up - all of which are a key consideration on competition days!

2013 - The  Gambling Community Benefit Fund also awarded the club an important maintenance and refurbishment grant which has allowed us to undertake a full resurfacing and refurbishment of our sand dressage arena. The grant included funding for having the arena fully fenced - a new requirement for dressage arenas in Queensland.

2012 - The Gambling Community Benefit Fund awarded a generous grant which allowed us to purchase a full set of professional FEI showjumps. These jumps are light, adaptable, fully accredited and attractive. They give an outstanding impression of our club when set up on competition days.
